Since 1950s, pop music has marked its footsteps in the music world. A pop song consists of a verse and chorus, and is often between 2-5 minutes in length. Pop is in fact the short form of popular. With the time, pop music has started referring to the music that is used to enjoyment and dancing, specially meant for teenagers and youth.


The year 2007 pop song top charts include hit songs like ‘Clumsy’ by Fergie, ‘Don’t stop the music’ by Rihanna, ‘Audio Day Dream’ by Blake Lewis, ‘Apologize’ by Timbaland featuring one republic  and ‘Teardrops on my guitar’ by Taylor Swift. ‘Noel’ by Josh Groban held on the top position for many weeks, and it had been estimated that it will be the best selling album of all times by the Christmas of 2007.

 

Blake Lewis was the American idol runner up of the year and his album matches the debut album of Jordin Sparks on the album chart. Timbaland ruled the charts for many weeks, and Rihanna’s ‘Don’t stop the music’ also went to climb the charts.

 

The 3rd month of 2007 pop song top charts also witnessed coming up of hit pop song like ‘Akon-The Sweet Escape’ by Gwen Stefani, ‘Konvicted’ by Akon, ‘Candyman’ by Christina Aguilera and ‘This is why I’m hot’ by Mims. Christina Aguilera did a great job with her ‘Candyman’. So, there were many pop song that ruled the 2007 pop song top charts.

 

2007 top pop song is obviously demonstrate the trend of what type of pop songs that we will see in the year 2008. As there are millions of pop song currently developed and plan to launch in the year 2008. Mean while other type of songs such as rock and jazz still very much behind in terms of the fans who loves and support.
