Music is pleasure to ears as it makes us feel blessed and doesn’t make us feel isolated. However, music has various genres such as rock, pop, blues, contemporary, folk, hip hop and fusion. One such famous genre is pop music or pop songs. Usually, pop songs are known by their cheerful music. Pop song, I can say that, is the most popular type of songs in the world. They have billions of fans and there are variety of pop songs type. As you can see that new pop songs are composed and go to the top charts everyday. Basically, pop music is the abbreviation of popular music that started in the early 1940s with popular names like Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley. However, there is a very thin line of difference between pop music and other genres as pop music takes a little bit of every into its melody. Some of the famous popular musicians were Madonna, Michel Jackson, Backstreet Boys, N’SYNC, Spice Girls, Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera, Kylie Minogue, Justin Timberlake and Robbie Williams.
These pop stars have achieved an iconic status. These artists were famous for their smashing hits that became a huge hit and best sellers. In today music scene, innovative music is used as against the traditional instruments such as guitars, drums, and synthesizers.
As a music form, pop songs became a rage among the youngsters and there were many takers of pop songs when it started in the early 1940s. Garage bands were common phenomena that were associated with pop songs. This shows how popular pop music became in masses. In comparison of yesteryears, pop songs have been evergreen in their universal appeal among all age groups. Usually, pop songs include 12 bar blues, verse-chorus forms and thirty-two-bar form with verses in poetic stanza.
